Show Notes
- Marc Reklau explains the focus of his work as a coach, consultant, speaker and writer: habits, productivity and positivity.
- We talk about how much control we all have over our own happiness. Happiness is a state of mind that we all control. Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to it.
- Marc talks about how he learns and reads. He says he reads everything two or three times to absorb the maximum amount of information.
- Marc Reklau talks about his first book “30 days. Change your habits, change your life” and how he went about writing it.
- We talk about how people are always trying to find quick fixes in their learning process. Learning takes time and long-term progress can only come from small and consistent actions and changes in habits.
- After 30 to 60 days, new habits become automatic and you don’t need to worry about motivation or discpline.
- If you wait until you’re motivated to do what you want to achieve, you may never even start.
- You have to create a study plan to make progress in English. When you have a plan, follow it for 30 to 60 days to create a new habit. You need discipline in the beginning but then it becomes automatic. In your plan, state specifically what and when you are going to do each part of the study plan.
- He gives us a glimpse of another of his books, “The Productivity Revolution”, and gives tips on how we can be more productive in our English learning.

- “Don’t give up. And be patient” is Marc’s advice to my listeners to help them on their English learning journey.
